Arsenal have been playing some beautiful football for last 10 seasons or so, but this season was the one in which Arsenal were not quite able to play their regular football. We have been miss firing on many occassions and this could be the match where we are going to prove to the critics that we are not going to miss fire again in the season.
I said that it could be the SEASON DEFINING match because of many reasons. One that it is the same type of opposition against which we have been miss firing. Two that we have not been able to score in many games consecutively. If you see our previuos performances, we have only been able to score goals in a game and then in the next game we come back with a nil - nil scoreline. I hope that we do not repeat that performance here again.
On the build up to the match we have been welcomed by some good news like Cesc can be back in four weeks time and that theo could be involved in the match today and that Eduardo might also feature in today's match.
As for theo Mr. Wenger said that fans should be patient and should not hurry much as he thinks that expecting too much out of him after a long injury is not fair.
"It is very important to see how he will respond with his shoulder and I think he looks to be nearly there,"
He continues and mentions about his fitnees here:
"To have him back is great and he can be very good for us. However the difference between training and competition is different. Theo is very fit, but after that you have to get used to tackles and go into the challenges. You have to use your arms and shoulders to resist."
These good news were a little bit hampered, thanks to that man again. He has been making nuisence for us for a long time now. He says that Cesc is a man who was born in Barcelona and would be a great player for Barca in the future. I think Laporta is having a short term memory loss problem as he don't seem to remember that Cesc was the one who said a week or two ago that he won't be leaving Arsenal if Wenger is not leaving.
Meanwhile Gael Clichy has been reinstating the fact that he would be with us for the rest of his life and Bendtner is willing to prove many wrong by simply putting in the best performance of his carreer against Burnley and make ammends of the miss firing he did against Burnley earlier this season.
"What happened in the League Cup against Burnley was bad. I was very disappointed with myself after that game, I had three clear chances - from which I should have scored two, if not three. When your finishing is not as good as it should be, it annoys you - especially when we have six or seven one-on-ones and don't score any of them. But it will be a new game, and if we get the same chances I am sure we will put them in this time."
That is good to be disappointed on your mistakes, but only if you learn from those mistakes and we want quick learners like what was his name the guy played in our central mid-field last season? I can't remember his name, anyhow, Bendtner needs to prove his mettle in the upcoming match(es), if he wants to stay in the starting eleven because we can see both Eduardo and Adebayor coming back in less than two weeks' time, so better be fast.
That's it for now. Hope to see you people soon enough.
